On Saturday I took Jonathan and Richie with me to make a call on a couple that has been attending CSBC virtually every Sunday for more that a year. Because they live a long way from church it took this fifth attempt before we actually caught them and had a wonderful visit. The bottom line, they heard the gospel through their time at CSBC and made a decision for Christ last spring. Hearing their testimony of salvation was a huge encouragement, and they came yesterday at the invitation to present themselves for baptism, which they are planning for next Sunday.
We were also thrilled to see a sweet lady follow the Lord in baptism yesterday. It is always good to see, but this one was special. You see, this dear lady had MS, and it took tremendous effort. But her resolve was amazing, and the sight of her struggle in and out of the baptistry was completely overshadowed by her smile…ear to ear.
It is so amazing to see how God works in the lives of people.
